Manchester United midfielder Toby Collyer is reportedly on the verge of leaving Old Trafford for West Bromwich Albion, with advanced negotiations underway.
The 22-year-old has found first-team opportunities scarce at United, especially with the club strengthening its midfield significantly this summer. While Hull City had also shown interest, having previously worked with Collyer, West Brom now appears to be the frontrunner for his signature.
According to reports, West Brom are optimistic about finalizing a deal, and Collyer himself is said to favour a move to the Championship club over Hull, with playing time being a key consideration.
Manchester United are open to sanctioning an exit, preferably a permanent transfer rather than another loan, as Collyer is well down the pecking order. With the arrivals of Carlos Baleba, Andrey Santos, and Youri Tielemans, first-team chances at Old Trafford would likely remain limited for Collyer.
A permanent move to West Brom could offer Collyer the consistent senior football he needs to establish himself, providing a clearer pathway to regular minutes than another loan spell would likely offer. For United, moving Collyer on would also help trim the squad.
