While both clubs have been linked with the exciting young talent, reliable reports confirm that the Reds are now the frontrunners. Bayern Munich had also made inquiries about Barcola's situation this summer, with the player having been on their radar previously. However, financial constraints seem to be a stumbling block for the German giants, making Liverpool the clear favorites to land the signing.
According to Christian Falk, who covers Bayern's transfer activities, the French winger's contract situation with PSG, set to expire in 2028, means his price is decreasing annually, with no current extension talks.
